How to title your Google Doc

Look up in the upper left-hand corner of your Google Docs editor. See the text field that says, “Untitled Document.” That’s every Google Docs default title. Click on it.

You can now add any title you want by typing. I’ll pick something highly original: “The Declaration of Independence,” but you can pick anything you want. When you finish, hit the enter key.

In a flash, watch that top bar change with your new title. As long as it shows the new title, then it worked.

Need even more assurance? Look to the right of it: it should say “All changes saved”? Guess what?! It saved!
